Milford's Obituary
Milford A. Ott, 82, of Stevensville, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Jordan’s Nursing Home in Bridgman.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Hickory Bluff Cemetery, Stevensville, with Rev. Jonathan Kruschel officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by Stevensville American Legion Post #568. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stevensville or Hospice at Home. Mr. Ott was born March 8, 1927 in Bridgman, Michigan to Albert & Mildred (Hemming) Ott. On June 22, 1957, he married the former Dorothy Horton in Benton Harbor. Milford served his country in the US Marine Corp during WWII. He retired from Whirlpool Corp in 1987 after 40 years of employment. Milford enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring & working on his Model A Fords, and helping his nephew on his farm. He was a member of the Stevensville American Legion Post #568.
Milford is survived by his wife Dorothy; his son David (Gabriele) Ott of Schlitz, Germany; three grandchildren-Marlene Wetch, Steven Ott, & Lara Ott; his sister Jeanette Hendrix of St. Joseph; his sister-in-law Irene Ott of Stevensville; and by numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Norman Ott on June 12, 2002.
