Esther's Obituary
Esther Mae Schulz, 79, of Eau Claire, originally of Baroda, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009 at her home. Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085 with Rev. Thom Christie officiating. A Visitation with the family will be held prior to the start of the service from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemeteryin Baroda. Memorial donations may be directed to New Apostolic Church. Esther was born on February 2, 1930 to Alex and Anna (Herman) Kiel in Baroda, M.I. She married the love of her life, Gerhardt “Gary” Schulz on October 2, 1954 in South Bend, IN. Together, they raised two sons and two daughters, Steven, Cindy, Judy and Kevin. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and spending the holiday with them. She enjoyed traveling, her dog, Tyler. Esther was an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish football fan. She will be missed by her family whom meant the world to her.
Esther is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gary; Her children, Steven Schulz of Eau Claire, Cindy (Alan) Morsaw of Hartford, MI., Judy (Craig) Whitney of Richland, MI., Kevin (Kristen) Schulz of St. Joseph, MI; Grand-children, Ashley (Tim) Fair of Osceola, IN, Ben and Bianca Whitney, both of Richland, MI; Brothers and Sisters, Ann (John) Tedrick of Missouri, Harry Kiel of Rantoul, IL; Bill Kiel of Indianapolis, Mary (Kiel) Meyer of Buchanan; Several cousins, nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Anna; Brothers and Sisters, Molly Bennett, Ed Kiel, Alex Kiel, Elizabeth Steuer and John Henry Kiel.
