Margaret H. Geegan

Margaret H. Geegan, 86, of Dowagiac, passed away Monday, October 27th at the Cass County Medical Care Center in Cassopolis, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5PM to 8PM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St, Dowagiac, MI.  A rosary will be recited at 7 PM.   A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church in Dowagiac, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 30, 2014 with Father Kevin Covert officiating. Margaret was born November 17, 1927 to Wallace and Phoebe (Biek) Luthringer in Dowagiac, MI.  On January 22, 1948 she married Charles Geegan at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church.  They made their home in Dowagiac, where she was a teacher’s aide in the Dowagiac School System.  She enjoyed reading, spending time with the family and baking for her grandkids. Margaret is survived by her husband Charles of Dowagiac; one daughter, Mary Anne (Geegan) Middleton of Dowagiac; three sons, David (Nancy) Geegan of Niles, John (Laura) Geegan and Tim (Pam) Geegan , both of Bowling Green, KY; one son-in-law Nolan Kaiser of Mt. Pleasant, MI; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Terrie (Geegan) Kaiser who died in November of 2007; one sister Mary Alice Sorenson and two brothers John and Jim Luthringer. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church Building Fund, 210 N.
