David's Obituary

David Wooster Singer was born on August 8, 1947 in Dowagiac, Michigan, and passed away in Tacoma, Washington on December 16, 2013, from natural causes.  David moved with his family to Monrovia, California, in 1955.  He graduated from Monrovia High School in 1965, and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.  He received his basic training in Biloxi, Mississippi, and was then assigned to Vandenberg Air Force base in California as a radar services technician.  Following his military service, he worked at Hughes Aircraft, Boeing, and other aircraft service companies as a buyer of aircraft parts and supplies for the aircraft industry.  He is survived by stepson Jeffrey Singer of Portland, Oregon; son Michael Singer of Seattle, Washington; parents Gene and Elizabeth Singer (formerly Betty Wooster of Dowagiac) of La Verne, California.  David’s siblings are: Teresa Singer Boulton of San Dimas, California, Lawrence Leverett Singer of Glendora, California, and Alexis Singer Thorpe of Huntington Beach, California.  Inurnment will be May 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the family plot at Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac, Michigan.  Arrangements entrusted to Clark Chapel and Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, Michigan.  A memorial Celebration of Life David will be held in Seattle, Washington, in August.  Please take the opportunity to sign his guestbook and leave a condolence or memory of David for the family at www.clarkch.com.
