Judy's Obituary

Judy Kauffman, 69, of St. Joseph, loving wife, mother, sister and “gran”, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 10, 2007. Judy was born on December 7, 1937 to M.C. “Bob” Phillips and Eloise Rose Phillips in Charleston, West Virginia. She married her high school sweetheart, John Kauffman Jr. on August 31, 1959. The family moved to St. Joe. in 1982. Judy lived a life full of passion for the Lord, spending her time loving and caring for others. She sang in the church choir, served as an elder, and held numerous other leadership roles in the church. Judy’s other life passions included her family, friends, singing, gardening, playing with children, baking, and crafts. Judy is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Sherri (John) Kormanik, New Albany, OH; son, John (Ann) Kauffman of Stevensville; son, Robert (Angie) Kauffman, Plano TX, sisters – Shirley (Jim) Davis and Roberta “Bobbie” (Lamar) Wilson, Dallas, TX; and grandchildren, Lauren, Mitchell, Ali, David, Madison and Meagan. She is preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am, Saturday April 14, at Fairplain Presbyterian Church, 210 W. Napier Ave, St. Joseph Twp., with The Rev. Dr. John L. Munson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the church.
