Betty's Obituary
Betty Probst, 88, of Dowagiac, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013, at The Timbers of Cass County, Dowagiac.
Betty was born January 11, 1925, in Paw Paw, MI, to Howard Lee & Velma (Reits) Messenger. On September 4, 1945 she married Marvin Probst, in Dowagiac, MI. Betty was a life member and past Matron of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #263, in Dowagiac. She enjoyed going to Mill Pond to watch the fish jump and to enjoy the scenery. Betty & Marvin spent a great deal of time sitting on their porch just watching the world pass by.
She is survived by her loving husband, Marvin, and her honorary daughter Melissa Mottweler.
She was preceded by her parents, her two daughters Sandra Lea (Probst) Pence and Lisa Ann (Probst) Shaw, and her three brothers.
A Memorial Service will be Friday November 22, 2013 at 12:00 P.M at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St. Dowagiac, with Chuck Timmons officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service also at the chapel. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac. Memorials may be made to the Timbers of Cass County.
