Harold's Obituary

Harold L. Kehrer, 89, of Sister Lakes, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00P.M on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Pastor Staci Wilder officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M to 12 P.M., prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Keeler Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Jerry Kehrer. Those wishing to leave a memory of Harold online may do so at www.clarkch.com. Harold was born on July 13, 1924, in Sister Lakes, MI, to Lloyd & Estella (Deneke) Kehrer. He married Virginia L. (Gordon) Kehrer, in 1952. Harold was employed with Bendix in South Bend, IN, for over 36 years as a machine operator. He was also a farmer and volunteer firefighter in Sister Lakes. Harold was a member of the Lyons Club of Sister Lakes, and enjoyed dancing, farming, and watching all sports. He is survived by his son, Jerry Kehrer, of Sister Lakes, MI; four grandsons, Jerry (Jessica) Kehrer, of South Bend, IN; Jay Kehrer, of Buchanan, MI; Joe Kehrer, of Eau Claire, MI; Jim Kehrer, of Sister Lakes, MI; two great grandchildren, Mason, of Buchanan, MI; Riley Kehrer, of South Bend, IN; and one brother, Allyn Kehrer, of Jackson, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia, and four siblings, Marion Grande, Leslie, Kehrer Merton Kehrer, Wilma Taylor.
