Geraldine L. Cluster

Geraldine L. Cluster, 85, of Benton Harbor, passed away, Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Dr. Chris Noffke officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service or Lory’s Place. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. Cluster was born April 14, 1921 in Benton Harbor to George & Viola (Johnson) Davis. On October 29, 1939, she married Robert M. Cluster in Benton Harbor. She was employed for nineteen years at Shepherd Products, retiring in 1986. Geraldine was, with her husband, a member of Southwest Michigan Car Collectors, and instrumental in starting Benton Heights Little League. Geraldine attended Bard School, was active in the Martindale School PTA, enjoyed cake decorating, collecting dolls and miniature kerosene lamps, enjoyed drawing & sketching, and training the family pets. She served as a girl scout leader when her daughter Arlene was active in scouts. Mrs. Cluster is survived by her son Robert C. Cluster and his wife Marion “Patti” Rose-Cluster of Berkley, CA; her daughter Arlene (Doug) Conran of Benton Harbor; three grandchildren-Randy Loggains, Brian (Jackie) Loggains, Courtney Walton; five great grandchildren-Randi Loggains, Cody Loggains, Tammy Green, and special great-grandchildren-Kayla & Ricky Lacer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert M. Cluster in July of 1999, brothers George & Perry Davis, and sisters-Margaret DeMorrow, Beulah Coffel, Dorothy Coffel, Thelma Gardner, Nina Cluster, and Janet Phillips.
