Dorothy's Obituary

Dorothy M. Pesko, 89, formerly of Coloma, passed away Sunday morning, July 23, 2006, at Jordan’s Nursing Home in Bridgman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 10:00 A.M., at Kerley- Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., in St. Joseph, with Dr. Randy Doyle officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. Dorothy was born on June 22, 1917 in St. Joseph. She was one of seven children born to David & Hazel (Austin) Mosher. In 1934, she married Mike Pesko in Gross Point, IN. Together they had three sons, Larry, George, & David. Dorothy worked for many years at Voice of Music as an inspector and repairer of assembly line production. She took great pride in her talents for crocheting and knitting Afghans for her family. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing and bowling. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Larry of Binghamton, NY, George (Carlene) of Whitney, TX, and David (Doris) of Coloma; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; by her brother, Robert Mosher of Craigmont, Idaho; and by numerous extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike in 1973; and by her sisters, Evelyn Edinger and Janice Mitchell; and her brothers, William, Jack, & Eugene Mosher.
