Daniel A. Mead

Daniel A. Mead, also known as Dan Steele 53, of Dowagiac, MI, passed away on Friday October 4, 2013, in Dowagiac, MI. A Celebration of Life will be held 12 P.M Thursday October 10, 2013, at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Pastor Rob Lowe officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hamilton Cemetery in Decatur, MI. Daniel was born March 19, 1960, in Dowagiac, MI, to Dalton Mead & Pearl (Cassady) Etzwiler. He is a graduate of Paw Paw High School in 1979. He enjoyed dancing, modeling, hot cars, bass fishing, and was known as a professional flirt. He will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. Daniel is survived by his parents, Dalton (Judy) Mead, of Dowagiac, MI; and Pearl (Robert) Etzwiler, of Gobles, MI; four siblings, David Mead, of Bloomingdale, MI; Denise (Alexander DeFinta) Noble, of Marshall, MI; William (Debbie) Noble; of Pullman, MI; Diana (Robert) Garrison, of Cleveland, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Mead, October 8, 1982.
