Morell Bohn

Morell Bohn, 85, of Benton Harbor, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2006 in her home. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Dr. Randy Doyle officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeshore Cemetery in Hagar Township. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 8:00, Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Morell was born on December 9, 1920 in Paris, Tennessee. She was one of 7 children born to Henry & Rosie May Carrington. On November 29, 1948 she married Helmet R. Bohn in Langdon, ND. Together they had three sons. Morell was known for her talents as an excellent seamstress. She also enjoyed cooking. She thoroughly enjoyed working with her arts and crafts and particularly with crocheting and making Afghans. Morell is survived by her husband, Helmet Bohn; her sons, Ron Bohn, James Michael Bohn both of Benton Harbor, and Gerald Wayne (Denise) Bohn of Coloma; brother, James (Dorothy) Carrington of Sharon, TN; and her sisters, Nettie Fay Carrington of Phoenix, AZ, and Juanita (Richard) Domries of Wales, ND. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Mayrine Hamby; and by her brothers, J.D. Carrington and Harls Carrington.
