Frank A. Dorow

Frank August Dorow, 83, of St. Joseph formerly of Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Caretel Inns of Royalton. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 A.M., at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, on Monday, July 17, 2006, with Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church of Berrien Springs or In-House Hospice Foundation of Southfield, Michigan. Friends may send the family a condolence message on-line at www.starks-menchinger.com. Frank was born to Berthold and Marguerite (Mueller) Dorow on October 9, 1922, in St. Joseph. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He married Martha Krummel in 1959 and she preceded him in death. Frank worked for the Department of Agriculture in Washington D.C. as a loan officer before retiring to Florida. Frank is survived by his brother, Arthur Dorow of Arlington, VA; sister, Florence (Chester) Koceski of Manchester, MI; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Dorow of Benton Harbor and Dorothy Dorow of St. Joseph; guardian/niece, Deborah Ostrander of St. Joseph; five nephews; and nine nieces. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha; sisters, Anna and Elsie; and brothers, Max, Walt, Alvin, and Robert. He will be missed by his family and friends at Caretel.
