William H. Faust

William ‘Bill’ H. Faust, 79, of Coloma, Michigan, passed away with his family by his side, on Friday, June 16, 2006, at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted with Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Gary L. Miller officiating, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, St. Joseph, MI. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, June 19, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service, or to the Michigan Heart Association. Bill was born May 14, 1927, in Stevensville, MI, to Henry and Cora (Dehring) Faust. On August 16, 1952, he married Rosemary Katherine Newman. He was a life long resident of Berrien County. Bill worked at Bendix for 33 years, retiring in 1987. Bill proudly served his country while in the U.S. Army, as a combat veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post of Stevensville. Bill also served the Tri unit fire department, retiring after 26 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He always placed others-especially family, before self, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children, Frederick ‘Fritz’ (Lori) Faust of Baroda, Edward (Marion) Faust of Baroda, Katherine ‘Karen’ (Daniel) Loney of Warsaw, IN, and Michelle (J.R.) Metz of Coloma; and his seven grandchildren, Erik, Kyle, Marissa, Kelly, Stephanie, Shelby and Jarred. Bill is preceded in death by his parents-Henry and Cora, and his wife-Rosemary.
