Floyd's Obituary

Floyd Thomas (Tom) Moxley, Jr., 62, of Stevensville, passed away Wednesday morning, June 28, 2006, at Jordan’s Nursing Home, Bridgman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2006, at 11:00 A.M. at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Rev. Franz Brandenburg officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening between 5-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Home of Stevensville. Friends may send the family a condolence message or sign the guest book on-line at www.starks-menchinger.com. Tom was born to Floyd and Zelda (Ingram) Moxley, Sr., on January 17, 1944, in Batesville, Arkansas. The family moved to Benton Harbor in the early 1950’s and he graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1961. He served his country from 1964 until 1967 in the United States Army. His tours of duty included Okinawa, Japan and Vietnam. He worked for Bosch Corp. in St. Joseph for 32 years before retiring in 2002. Tom is survived by his children, Rob Moxley of St. Joseph, Austin (Kristy) Moxley of Coloma, Amy (Mike) Emery of Coloma, and Shawn (Sigga) Moxley of Mountain Home, Idaho; sister, Joyce (Earl) Morse of Stevensville; grand- children, Alexa, Nicole, EJ, Chase, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Mason, Haley, Jadyn, and Brodie; loving aunt, Ida Burge of St. Joseph; aunt, Margaret Haney; uncle & aunt Lonnie & Ruth Moxley of Newark, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Vaughn Moody of Batesville, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews & cousins; and also all of his wonderful friends at Jordan’s Nursing Home. In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his sister Betty Moody and his grandmother, Nora Ingram.
