Robert Wayne Wells

Robert Wayne Wells, 57, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Friday, June, 16, 2006, in his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 23, 2006, at the Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road in St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 1:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Memorials may be made either to Diabetes Research or to the family. Robert was born on April 15, 1949, in Benton Harbor. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. Robert worked for many years at Modern Plastics as a machine operator. Robert enjoyed reading and watching movies in his free time. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball. Robert has many friends and was known as a generous person. His children revered him as a “caring and loving father.” Robert is survived by his children, Robert James Wells of Stevensville and Brandy Wells of Berrien Springs; his parents, Marilyn and Robert V. Wells of Decatur and formerly of Benton Harbor; two grandchildren, Zachary Wells and Cody Stanton; his brothers, James L. Wells of Florida, Doug (Deb) Wells of Benton Harbor, and Mike (Barb) Wells of Florida; sister, Bonnie Brunson-Wells of St. Joseph; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.
