Patricia's Obituary
Patricia Schultz, 83, of St. Joseph, MI, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted with Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, St. Joseph, MI.
Patricia was born March 21, 1923, in Berrien County, MI, to August and Juliana (Schultz) Krause. On March 5, 1977, in St. Joseph, MI, she married William August Schultz. She had a lunch room called Patsy’s Lunch Box, in 1949. Patricia worked as a real estate broker for 40 years with Action Real Estate, and retired in 1985. She was the co-founder of the Berrien Landlords Association. Patricia was an active volunteer in the Benton Harbor Soup Kitchen for 18 years; and an active member of the St. Joseph Sr. Center, where she taught the card making class. She was also a member of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ of St. Joseph. Patricia loved growing flowers and plants, and her garden. She had a great sense of humor, and had a zest for life. Patricia will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, William August Schultz; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces/nephews. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents-August and Juliana, and her brothers-Frederick, Otto, Henry and Edward.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2:00 p.m., at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI, with Pastor Bob Confer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph, MI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the St. Joseph Sr. Center, or to Zion Evangelical Church.
