Joseph Michael Russo

Joseph Michael Russo lived to be a special 65 years old. Joseph died of pneumonia at Lakeland Hospital, meeting his Savior face to face June 15, 2006. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00A.M., Thursday, June 22, 2006, at Napier Parkview Baptist Church, 245 W. Napier Avenue, with Dr. J.O. Hosler officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M., Thursday, at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Joseph was born in Chicago, Illinois. He will be missed by many friends who enjoyed his pleasant personality. Joseph left behind a foster sister Lorraine Pater who loved him very much. Joseph always had a smile on his face, even when he was very sick. He was always “OK”. He was never afraid to express his love for God, and the family who will meet him in heaven. Joe liked to draw, make crafts, and collect stuffed animals. He loved children, making friends, and attending church at Napier Parkview Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Shepherd’s Class – bringing his friends to church with him. He made many friends in the various homes where he lived, and will be missed by all of them. He will be especially missed by Jack Chandler, who was his guardian for over twenty years.
