Maxine's Obituary
Maxine Manley, 76, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at Lakeland Regional Hospital, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2006, at 1:00 P.M at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Dr. Randy Doyle officiating. Internment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may send the family a condolence message or sign the guest book on-line at www.starks-menchinger.com. Maxine was born to William and Rinda (Palmer) Williams in Hamilton, Alabama, on June 19, 1930. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Pamela Platthy of Benton Harbor; grandchildren, Philip Hercik III of Baroda, Adam Hercik of Baroda, Ashley Wolford of Bloomington, IL, and Jamie Manley of St. Joseph; sister, Cindy Glasel of Otsego, MI; niece, Gwendolyn Webb of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and nephew, Stephen Glasel, of Indianapolis, IN. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; son, Donald K. Manley in April 1999, husband Donald W. Manley in 1987; brother-in-law, Albert Glasel; and thirteen siblings.
