Nora's Obituary
Nora K. Edwards, 70, formerly of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away, Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at her home in St. Joseph. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon Wednesday, April 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., with Msgr. Thomas Martin officiating. Mrs. Edwards was born July 19, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York to Kenneth J. & Margaret E. (Gregory) Kenny. Nora grew up in Williston Park, NY and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead, NY in 1953. On July 21, 1957, she married David E. Edwards, a native of Gulfport, Mississippi, in Williston Park. Nora moved to Chesapeake, VA where she was a member and parish secretary of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. In August of 2005, Nora and David moved to St. Joseph, Michigan where they joined St. Joseph Catholic Church. Nora is survived by her husband David; her son Dr. Kenneth (Wendy) Edwards of St. Joseph; and three grandchildren-David, Jordan & Kate Edwards.
