Anthony's Obituary

Anthony B. Cesaroni, 88, of Holland, formerly of Benton Harbor, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Holland Hospital. Private Family Services will be held at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Fr. William Jacobs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma with Military Rites conducted by Coloma American Legion Post #362, VFW Post #1137 of Benton Harbor, and VFW Post #6803 of Watervliet. Mr. Cesaroni was born January 1, 1918 in Chicago to Osvaldo & Ida (Spunucci) Cesaroni. He graduated from McKinley High School in Chicago in 1934, and served his country in the US Navy as chief petty officer during WWII. On August 24, 1946, he married the former Germaine Riviere in Stevensville. Anthony was employed by Whirlpool Corporation for over 29 years, retiring in 1975. He was involved in contract negotiations for many years through the Whirlpool Human Resource Department. He was a former member of the Whirlpool Management Club. Following retirement, Anthony & Germaine spent much time traveling throughout the United States and Europe, and spent their winter months in Fort Myers, Florida. Anthony will be remembered by his family as a loving husband and father, who always put his family first. Anthony is survived by his wife Germaine; and two daughters-Diane (John) Sink of St. Joseph, and Darlene (David) Dongvillo of Whitehall, MI.
