Justine Mueller

Justine (Miller) Mueller, 90, of Stevensville, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at home in Stevensville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 17, 2006, with Pastor Martin Weigand officiating at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 121 Kline, Benton Harbor. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, March 16, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Justine was born October 22, 1915 in Germany to Anthony and Kristine (Gewinner) Schiefelbein. The love Justine “Oma” had for her children, grandchildren and, great-grandchildren was of special importance to her, as was her church as well. She was very active with Ladies Aid of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was an amazing woman, a tower of strength and dignity, and personal Christian faith in her living God. She will be dearly missed. Justine is survived by three daughters – Helga Bansen, Erika (Steve) Solomon, and Ingrid Delong; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Friedrich Mueller in 1980; one grandson Larry F. DeLong; and two sons-in-law – Dieter Bansen and Jim DeLong.
