Sylvia Ann Grissom

Sylvia Ann Grissom, 71, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday 16, 2013, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Sylvia was born on March 2, 1942 in Decatur, Michigan, the daughter of Carl and Ethel Rosetta (Osborn) Spicher. On February 27, 1960, she married Daniel Huey Grissom in Cass County, MI. She was a machine operator in the tool and dye industry. She loved socializing and spending time with her family, and will be missed by all those who loved her. Sylvia is survived by her children; Rosetta Soti, of Decatur, MI; Robin Grissom, of Decatur, MI; Danny Grissom, of Decatur, MI, and Gary Grissom of Decatur, MI; four siblings, Lonnie Spicher, Margaret West, Linda Smith and Cedric Spicher, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and eleven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Huey Grissom, and her parents Carl & Ethel Rosetta Spicher. A Celebration of Life will be held 12 P.M on Wednesday, July 24 at First Reform Church, 319 W Delaware St., Decatur, with Pastor Mark Hofstra officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Harrison Cemetery in Decatur. Memorials may be made to the Grissom family in the care of Rosetta Soti.
