Margaret Mary Goettler

Margaret “Peggy” Mary Goettler, 87 of Stevensville died Monday, February 6, 2006, at her home, surrounded by her loving children, and grandchildren, with her husband holding her hand. Peggy will be greatly missed. Her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her husband Al was the love of her life from the moment they met and continued for 67 years. Margaret was born on July 9, 1918, in Chicago, IL to Harold and Georgia (McKay) Anderson. On March 30, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa, she married Alfred Goettler. She worked at ABCC Credit Union, (Whirlpool Financial) as a bookkeeper until she retired in 1980. She is survived by her husband Alfred; two daughters – Gayle (Bill) Ziebarth and Barb (Bill) Hannah, both of Stevensville; a son Tom (Sherry) Goettler of Brookpark, Minn; five grandchildren – Todd Ziebarth, Scott Ziebarth, Lisa Kiewel, Nicole Andris, Ben Goettler and seven great-grandchildren Friends wishing to send a condolence message online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
