Kathleen Ann Robare

Kathleen Ann Robare, 58, of St. Joseph passed away March 23, 2006 at Jordan’s Nursing Home in Bridgman. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, March 27, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her family. Those wishing to share a condolence online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Kathleen was born November 25, 1947 to Ernest & Muriel (Kramer) Weston in Rochester, New York. On Valentine’s Day 1990, she married her best friend Frank Robare, who was her devoted caretaker when her health failed. They moved to St. Joseph in 1999 and enjoyed their life together. Kathy was a gifted and talented seamstress who specialized in children’s clothing. She also made beautiful and unique clothing for the well-know American Girl Dolls. Besides her husband, Frank, Kathy is survived by three children; son Carmen Sofia of Rochester, NY; daughters Robin Sofia of Williamson, NY and Michelina (Aaron) McKee of Walworth, NY; her siblings Faith (John) Keele, Sandy (Mike) Barnard, and Ernest (Georgia) Weston, Jr. all of New York; her grandchildren Joey, Jason, Timmy, Samantha, Amanda, Jennifer, David, Ashley, Kyle and Amber. Kathy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
