Charles's Obituary

Clarence August Krieger, 89, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2006 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 14, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with Pastor Teri Bently officiating. Burial will be at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Visitation will be Monday evening between 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Clarence was born April 23, 1916 in Glendora, MI. He was one of two children born to Adolph & Matie Krieger. On November 19, 1939 he married Lucile Harris in Benton Harbor. Together they had two children, Larry & Janice. In 1977 he retired from Clark Equipment in Jackson, MI. Clarence longtime faithful member of the Stevensville United Methodist Church. Additionally he enjoyed fishing, sightseeing, and taking long “road trips.” Clarence survived by his wife Lucile of 66 years; his son, Larry (Rose M.) of Niles; daughter, Janice (Richard) Pollitt of Crystal Falls, MI; and a granddaughter, Crystal Ann Johnson of South Bend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Madeline Martin.
