Georgene Pauline Ott

Georgene P. Ott, 84, of St. Joseph passed away Sunday, January 8, 2006 at her home. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 16, 2006 at Saron Lutheran Church, 510 Main Street, St. Joseph, with Rev. Dr. Gary Cowall officiating. Georgene was born on March 6, 1921 in Baroda, Michigan, the daughter of the late Gustave and Martha (Dehring) Ott. She is a graduate of Baroda High School and attended the University of Michigan. Georgene was a bookkeeper and worked at Richter’s Hardware in St. Joseph until the store was sold. She then worked in the accounting department of Heath Company until her retirement. Georgene was a member of Saron Lutheran Church, enjoyed sports and loved to listen to the Chicago Cubs. She also loved to read. Survivors include brother James Ott of Scottsdale, AZ; sister-in-law Jean Ott of Baroda; niece Gayle Ott of Caledonia, MI; nephews Doug (Deb) Ott of Baroda and Daniel Ott of Mesa, AZ; grandnephew Griffin (Kate) Ott and grandniece Sara (Scott) Winkler Georgene was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Dean Ott & Edgar (Ottsie) Ott.
