Josephine Kimball

Josephine Kimball, 85, of St. Joseph, passed away, Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 19 at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Fr. William Jacobs officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to either Hospice at Home or the American Cancer Society – Breast Cancer Research. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 11:00 A.M. Josephine was born on April 4, 1920 in Benton Harbor. She was one of 14 children born to Frank & Maria Pullano. On April 7, 1946 she married Robert Kimball in Benton Harbor. They were blessed with four daughters. Josephine was an avid Pinochle player and belonged to several leagues. She enjoyed traveling, but most importantly she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Josephine is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Jo Tichenor of St. Joseph, Barbara (James) Dumke of Stevensville, Bonnie (Mark) Soper of Traverse City, MI, and Robin (Jesse) Benjamin of Portage, MI; her grandchildren, Clint (Amy) Mc Call, Melissa Owen, Beth (David) Tobias, Chrissy (Tommy Hanlon) Dumke, Kari Benjamin, Jeff Tichenor, Joel Tichenor, and Julie Tichenor; 3 great-grandchildren, Sierra Owen, Chase Hanlon, and Alexia Tobias; a brother, Joseph Pullano of Benton Harbor; and two sisters, Rose Kimball of Allegan and Grace Barrett from California. In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Robert and 10 brothers and sisters.
