Ruth B. Tilley

Ruth’s life began on May 12, 1928 in Bridgman, the daughter of Erdmand and Bessie (Hartline) Granke. She was a homemaker who could never sit idle. Ruth loved to bake, cook, and crochet. Outside, she took great pride in her yard and was a hard worker. Her loving family includes three children Dale (Glenda) Ormiston of Dowagiac, Margie (Mark) Brock of Coldwater, and Clyde Ormiston of Dowagiac; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, brothers Ernie (Pat) Granke of Sawyer and Eugene Granke of Chicago. Ruth passed away on Saturday June 1, 2013 at the Timbers of Cass County. She is preceded in death by brothers Bert and Julius Granke and daughter in law Sharon Ormiston. Her family will gather with friends on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where her service will begin at 11 a.m. led by Pastor Justin Shepard of Michiana Church of Christ. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Michiana Church of Christ.
