Frances's Obituary
Frances Elizabeth Ednie, 83, of St. Joseph, died Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Gilead Elder Center in Berrien Springs.
Friends may call on the family from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 8, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, with Rev Terry Tessari officiating. Burial will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery, Benton Harbor. Frances was born on June 20, 1922, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to LaVern & Bertha (Looker) Andrews. She received her B.S. Degree from Albion College and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Frances Bolton School of Nursing. She married William Ednie on March 3, 1945, in St. Joseph. Frances was a lifetime member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and of the Women’s Fellowship at Zion Ev. United Church of Christ.
Frances is survived by her husband William, son James (Aida) Ednie, and daughter Linda Ednie, both of Benton Harbor; sister Louise M. Westervelt of Ann Arbor; and several nieces and nephews.
