Charles “Chuck” Henry Betz, 78, of St. Joseph, MI, formerly of Detroit, passed away December 9, 2005, at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph. A Committal service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 1:00 P.M., at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia, MI, with Rev. Mark Bidwell officiating. Chuck was born June 21, 1927, in Detroit, MI, to John Jacob and Shirley (Peniger) Betz. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in WWII. Chuck had worked on the assembly line at Ford Motor Co. in Dearborn, MI for 20 years. He is survived by his daughter Denise (Gerald) Peterson of Stevensville, MI; a son Dennis Betz of Detroit, MI; grandchildren, Gerald (Debra) Peterson, Kristeen Peterson and John (Heather) Peterson; great grandchildren, Shawna and Mercelia Peterson; and a niece, Beverly Nicks of Taylor, MI.
