Dorothy L. Gray

Dorothy’s life began on January 6, 1925 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Raymond and Irene (Thompson) Judd. She was united in marriage to Eugene Gray on July 19, 1943 in Dowagiac. Dorothy was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her husband’s construction company for many years. She was a parishioner of Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church in Dowagiac. She is survived by six children Theresa Lightner of Mishawaka, David (Kay) Gray of Dowagiac, Mary (Jerry) Copeland of Dowagiac, Agnes (Jack) Colvin of Cheyenne, WY, Michael (Cindy) Gray of Stevensville, and Phillip (Jeanette) Gray of Dowagiac, 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Dorothy passed away on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at Holy Cross Village at Notre Dame. She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene in 1989, and two sisters Ruth Neddo and Ruby Krizinski. Her family will receive friends on Friday from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church where Father Kevin Covert will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Dowagiac. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the Knights of Columbus Council 2113, Dowagiac. Yazel and Clark Chapel is serving the family.
