Jeanette Coy

Jeanette Margaret Coy, 68, of Dowagiac passed away on May 22, 2013 at Metro Health Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI.Jeanette’s life began on July 4, 1944 in Benton Harbor, MI, the daughter of William L. and Elvira (Nimtz) Watson. Jeanette was a nurse for 33 years at Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac. She was a member of the Michigan License Practical Nurses Association and enjoyed reading and visiting. Her loving family includes her children, Bill (Lynn) Spooner of Dowagiac, Deb (David) Landman of Ada, MI, Don (Ginger) Coy Jr. of McBain, MI, Gayle (Robert) Wilson of Niles, grandchildren, Dale Coy, Katrina Christie, Ginelle Coy, Nicholas Coy, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Natter, Kevin Simpson, Tony Spooner, Regan Landman, and Jordin Spooner, great grandchildren Dominick Mentel, Keagan Mentel, Kevin Simpson Jr., Edward Christie and Logan Christie, special grandson Lee Simpson Jr, and special son-in-law Kenneth (Cindy) Simpson, four sisters, Dorothy Hancock of Jacksonville, FL, Kathy (Ron) Harris of Reno, NV, Bonnie (David) Pochke of Benton, MI, and Sharon (Pete) Matute of LasVegas, NV, one brother Glen (Jan) Garett of Birchrun, MI. She was preceded by her parents, her husband and her son Jeffrey Spooner. Her family will gather with friends on Saturday, May 25, 2013, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Yazel-Clark Chapel where her funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac, MI. Memorials may be directed to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital Foundation in Jeanette’s name.
