Early's Obituary
Early Mae Burton, 75, of Benton Harbor, passed away peacefully Monday in her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 7 at Community Church of God in Christ, 870 Nate Wells Sr. Drive in Benton Harbor, with Rev. Nathaniel Wells officiating. The Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. She was active in her church singing in the choir and serving on the Mother?s Board. Early loved keeping her birds and fish. In her spare time, she particularly enjoyed quilting. She is survived by her children; Dorothy Whitfield of Benton Harbor, James Burton of Myrtle Beach, SC, Andrew Burton of Benton Harbor, Gwendolyn (Doug) Johnson of Arlington, TZ, Otis Burton of Benton Harbor, Charles (Marsha) Burton of Covington, GA and Rita (Carl) Matthews of Benton Harbor; two brothers, Robert Hendrix of California and Julius Belt of Arkansas; 31 grandchildren; and 32 great-grand-children.
