Ardys M. Rogalski

Ardys Marion Rogalski, 81, of Sodus, passed away Monday, January 16, 2006, at Lakeland Memorial Hospital in St. Joseph. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 20, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware, in Benton Harbor with Fr. Bill Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Sodus. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Liturgical prayers will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Memorial donations may be made either to St. John – St. Bernard’s Parish or to Lake Michigan Catholic Schools. She was one of 5 children born to David & Vida (Drew) Krugh. On September 19, 1942 she married Max Rogalski in Eau Claire. They had four children, Larry, Richard, Janet, & Suzanne. The family farmed all their lives in the Sodus area. She loved spending time with her family and particularly enjoyed cooking for her grandchildren. Ardys is survived by her husband Max of 63 years; three children, Larry (Deloris) of Stevensville, Janet Mc Conomy of St. Joseph, and Suzanne (Mike) Jones of Stevensville; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joyce Zerbe of Benton Harbor and daughter-in-law Ginnie Rogalski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Richard; and three brothers, Vernon, Clifford, and Albert Krugh.
