Brian's Obituary

Brian Rhoa, 34, of St. Joseph died Sunday at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church Street, St. Joseph with Msgr. Thomas Martin and Msgr. Eugene Sears as co-celebrants. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, December 6, from 5-9 P.M. at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. Memorials in Brian’s name may be made to the Lake Michigan Catholic Lakers Band, or the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department for the School Safety Program. Friends wishing to share a condolence online may do so at www.starks-menchinger. Brian was born August 29, 1971 in Rochester, Michigan to Robert and Karen (Kelly) Rhoa of St. Joseph who survive. Brian was a 1990 graduate of Lake Michigan Catholic High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at Ferris State University and was employed at Loss Prevention Supervisor at Best Buy in Benton Harbor. Brian enjoyed spending time shooting skeet, and reading. He was a delightful young man with a great sense of humor who loved his family, and his dog Bailey. Besides his parents, Brian is survived by three brothers: Jeff Rhoa of St. Joseph; David (Deedra) Rhoa of Mattawan; Matthew Rhoa of St. Joseph; nieces Megan Rhoa and Brittany Rhoa; nephew Nicholas Rhoa. Brian will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
