Lila F. Truhn

Lila F. Truhn, 81, of St. Joseph, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2005, at Lakeland Specialty Hospital, Berrien Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 613 Court St., St. Joseph, with Pastor Jon Bendewald officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery. Friends may call from5-7 P.M. She was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School in 1942. Lila was an insurance clerk, having worked at Cedarwood Medical Center, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, was a Sunday school teacher for more than 25 years, and also a member of the Priscilla Guild. She is survived by two sisters, Lorraine Truhn of Stevensville, and Shirley Truhn of St. Joseph; a brother, George (Norma) Truhn, Jr. of St. Joseph; two nieces, Cheryl Demis and Julie (Brent) Engel; and three nephews, Michael Truhn, Curtis (Peggy) Truhn, and Jeffrey Truhn.
