Tyrus ?Ty? Weaver, Jr., 73, passed away at his home, Sunday, August 28, 2005. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2005, 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Randy Doyle officiating, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda, MI. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 30, at the funeral home, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peters Church or the Berrien County Sheriff?s Posse. Friends wishing to sign the family guestbook, or to leave a message of condolence, may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Ty was born June 30, 1932, in St. Joseph, MI, to Ty Cobb and Flossie Marie (Hopkins) Weaver. On November 8, 1952, in St. Joseph, he married Gertrude Foster. He had worked at Paramount Die Castings in Stevensville, for 34 years. Thereafter, he was a self-emplyed truck driver. Ty was a member of the Berrien County Sheriif?s Posse. He is survived by his wife Gertrude; his two daughters, Marie Godush of Baroda, and Linda (Carl) Schuck of Kalkaska, MI; four grandchildren, Brandy (Douglas) Cox of Huntersville, NC, Ty Godush of St. Joseph, MI, Tonya (Ray) Powers of Detroit, MI, and Tammi (Mike) Buning of Kalkaska, MI; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Darlene (Jim) Thomson of Santa Monica, CA, and Jean (Gene) Coleman of Utah. Ty is preceded in death by his parents-Ty and Flossie, and a sister-Gertha McQueen.
