Margaret Ziemke

Margaret A. Ziemke, 76, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2005 at South Pointe Assisted Living where she had resided. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for both Margaret and her husband Charles Ziemke will be held at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Dave Yoh officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., at the funeral home, on Wednesday, November 9, 2005. Margaret was born January 29, 1929, in Benton Harbor to John & Frances (Agens) Wells. On June 28, 1952, she married Charles Ziemke in Benton Harbor. Margaret was employed as an operator for Michigan Bell Telephone Company for many years. Her last employment was with Peace Temple United Methodist Church in Benton Harbor as the church financial secretary. In her spare time, Mrs. Ziemke enjoyed quilting. Mrs. Ziemke is survived by her daughter Mary (Jan) Larsson of Clearwater, FL; two grandchildren-Karen (Tim) Straub of St. Joseph, Brandan (Jennifer) Garlanger of Benton Harbor; one great-granddaughter-Adeline Margaret Straub; and a sister Mary Rauhoff of Clearwater, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Charles on January 19, 2004.
