Delores M. Rose

Delores Mae Rose, 73, of St Joseph, went to sleep peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2005 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Kerley- Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Dave Mitchell officiating. Friends may call on the family beginning at 10:30 at the funeral home. Delores was born October 16, 1931 in Grand Rapids to John and Elma (Root) Hoffius. On June 6, 1958 she married Darwin Rose in St. Joseph. To this union was born 6 children. Delores loved her children and her family. She also enjoyed home decorating and she always “opened her home to everybody?. Delores is survived by Darwin, her husband of 47 years; her children – Pam Bush of Niles, Stuart (Diane) Rose of Buchanan, Edith (Patrick) Sweeney of St. Joseph, Robin Claywell of Texas, Chris (Michelle) Rose of St. Joseph, and Scott (Mary) Rose of St. Joseph; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and her brother Jack Hoffius of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
