Alana's Obituary
Alana Denease-Kay Ruiz, 4 1/2 month old daughter of Ashley Weir and Anson Ruiz, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2005 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P. M. Monday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Charles Douglas officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may call beginning at noon Monday at the funeral home. Alana was born July 13, 2005 in South Haven, Michigan. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandparents-Ruby Weir of Sister Lakes, Tim (Liana) Weir of Lawrence, MI, Arnold Ruiz of Dowagiac; great grandparents-Marsha Beshires of Benton Harbor, Vernice Weir of Hartford, MI, Leonard (Alvina Ruiz of Sodus, MI; great-great grandmother Ruby Blade of Ardmore, TN, and many aunts & uncles. Alana was preceded in death by her grandmother Denease Ruiz on April 1, 2005, her great-grandfather Elmer Weir, and her great-great grandmother Violet Quinn.
