Edna's Obituary
Edna E. Beilman, 83, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2005, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, August 8, 2005, 2:00 P.M., with Bishop Steven Salisbury officiating. Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may call on the family on Sunday, August 7, from 3:00-6:00 P.M., at the Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Memorial donations may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Benton Harbor, MI. Edna was born to E.C. and Mary (Arnold) Tapp on November 17, 1921 in Monette, Arkansas. Edna loved gardening flowers, baking and canning. She was compassionate, giving and kind. She was a fighter, having battled with cancer for 10 years, and was spunky to the end. Edna will be missed by her family and her many friends.
She is survived by her children Lois (Mike) Beilman of Benton Harbor and Charles (Sharon) Porphir of Benton Harbor; step-children, William Jr. (Mabel) Beilman, Vance (Deb) Beilman of Colorado Springs, CO, James (Ruby) Beilman of Baldwin, MI, Michael (Lois) Beilman of Benton Harbor, and Arleeta Bartlett of Baldwin, MI; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren; 37 step-great grandchildren; and a sister, Annie Dilts of Muskegon, MI. Edna is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband-Albert Porphir, her second husband-William Beilman, and a sister-Pearl George.
