Robert Edward Lange

Robert Lange, 74, formerly of St. Joseph, died at his home in Berrien Springs on Saturday, July 30, 2005. Friends may call on the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, August 3, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord, St. Joseph, with Rev. Carl Pagel officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview cemetery. He attended St. Joseph High School, graduating in 1948. He served our country during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force from 1948-1952. On September 27, 1952, he married Margie Phillips at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. He worked for 30 years as a mail carrier for the United States Post Office in St. Joseph. After retiring from the post office he worked at Schneck?s Super Market and Hilltop Foods. Bob is survived by his wife Margie; daughter Lonna (Roger) Johnson of Berrien Springs, six grandchildren – Scott Felgner, Ryan Felgner, Cara Felgner, J.R. Johnson, Cami Johnson, Dustin Johnson; great-granddaughter Olivia Ludwig; three brothers – David (Patti) Lange of Benton Harbor, Bill (Jan) Lange of St. Joseph, and Jerry (Dee Ann) Lange of Stevensville. He was preceded in death by a daughter Louanne Bunker.
