Richard Otto Valha

Richard “Dick” Otto Valha, 69, of Stevensville, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2005, at his home. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at 1:00 P.M., at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow in Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may call on Monday, November 28, 2005, from 5-8 P.M., at the funeral home. Dick was born to Otto and Anna (Oldrich) Valha on April 17, 1936, in Oak Park, IL. He served in the Korean Conflict in the Marine Corp. He married Carol Strejcek. Dick worked for William Wrigley Jr. Company in Chicago. Dick is survived by his wife Carol; children- Pam (Warren) Seil of Shorewood, IL, Patricia (Morton) Lane of Stevensville, and Richard (Marcia) Valha of Stevensville; and grandchildren- Stephanie Fischer of Elkhart, IN, Rich and Tom Valha of Stevensville, Deanna Lane of Stevensville, and Brian, Lisa, and Megan Seil of Shorewood, IL. Dick was preceded in death by his parents.
