Gene's Obituary
Gene E. Krumroy, 66, of Sawyer, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. today (Friday, November 11) at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with Dr. Randy Doyle officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery. Friends may call beginning at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Humane Society or the American Heart Association. Those wishing to send a message of condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Gene was born August 7, 1939 in Lincoln Township to Carl & Minnie (Stucky) Krumroy. On July 19, 1961 he married Louise Wolschlager in Sawyer. To this union was born 5 children. Gene enjoyed “analyzing and figuring things out.” He often worked with metal, wood, or concrete materials to design and built yard ornaments.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; his five children, Anthony (Julie) Krumroy of Marshburg, PA, Kim (Mike) Schmaltz of Baroda, Tasha (Ed) Smith of Glendora, Jason Krumroy of Galien, and Adam (Lisa) Krumroy of Glendora; 11 grandchildren; 3 brothers; and 7 sisters. Gene was preceded in death by his parents.
