Harold Fanslau, 85, of St. Joseph, died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at Lakeland Continuing Care ? St. Joseph A private graveside service will be held at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Friends wishing to send a condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Harold was born on May 17, 1920, in Coloma Michigan, to Fred & Marie (Weiss) Fanslau. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1937 and served his country in the United State Army during WWII. He married Lillian Rutkowskie on November 30, 1940, at Trinity Lutheran in St. Joseph. He worked for Brammall Supply CO. of Benton Harbor as a salesman, until he retired in 1982 He is survived by his wife Lillian of St. Joseph, three sons – Fred Fanslau of Stevensville, Allan Fanslau of St. Joseph, David (Delores) Fanslau of Trenton, Michigan ; two daughters – Lnora Turner of Wimberly, TX, Julie Fanslau of New Orleans, LA.; five grandchildren – Stephanie, Julie, Ashley, Eric, Steven Preceded in death by his parents, three sister and two brothers
