Vincent Joseph Riccioni, 80, of St. Joseph passed away peacefully Monday morning, October 24, 2005, at home with his family by his side.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at10:30 A.M. October 27, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph, with Msgr Thomas Martin officiating. Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M on Wednesday with Liturgical Prayers recited at 7:30 P.M. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hospice at Home or Berrien County Cancer Service. Vincent was born August 12, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Josephine (Genovese) Riccioni. Vincent graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1943. He married Clara Ludlam on November 30, 1946 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in St. Joseph. He served as a Technician 5th Grade in the U.S. Army during WWII, in the 405th Infantry Regiment 102nd Infantry Division. Upon his discharge from the Army, he worked as a Printer at A.B. Morris Printing. Later he was employed as a Printer at the Herald Palladium. Vincent spent many happy years as blueberry farmer and was a lifetime member of the Michigan Blueberry Association. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Vincent is survived by Clara, his wife of 58 years; sons James (Elizabeth) Riccioni of Benton Harbor, Jerry Riccioni of Chicago, and John Riccioni of St. Joseph; daughter Karen (James) Sigler of St Joseph; five grandchildren Andy Riccioni, Shelby (David) Brink, Adam Riccioni, and Angela Riccioni, Sean Sigler; brother Joseph (Patricia) Riccioni, Jr. of Stevensville and many nieces and nephews.
