Pearl (Bosma) Cook, 93, of St. Joseph, formerly of Fairplain and Largo, Fla., passed away at Lakeland Continuing Care, St. Joseph, on Wednesday, June 15, 2005.
Cremation has taken place. Burial at North Shore Memory Gardens is private. Memorials may be made to Lory?s Placy, St. Joseph ? c/o Hospice, PO Box 297, Stevensville, Mich., 49127. Pearl was born June 15, 1912 in Grand Rapids to Henry and Fannie (Huls) Bosma. Pearl and her husband Stan resided in Fairplain from 1947 to 1974, when they retired to Largo, Florida. They were founding members of Fairplain Presbyterian Church, and she was active in Lianas Club. Stan died on a visit to Michigan in 1986, and Pearl moved back to Michigan in 1996.
Pearl is survived by her daughter Judie Coar of Largo, Fla.; son James D. (Mary) Cook of St. Joseph; brother Louis (Evelyn) Bosma of Grand Rapids; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Stan, she was preceded in death by her brothers Herman, Minard, and Peter Bosma; and sisters ? Margaret Helmers, Nell Boersma, Jean Boersma, and Henriett Mosher.
