Jerry W. Cantrell

Jerry’s life began on June 4, 1974 in Dowagiac, the son of Jerry and Judy (Wheeler) Cantrell. He is a 1992 graduate of Dowagiac Union High School. Jerry was employed by several area companies including National Copper, Ameriwood, LA West, and Glavell. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, and hunting. Jerry also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his children. He is survived by his parents Jerry and Judy Cantrell of Dowagiac, paternal grandmother Rosa Cantrell of Dowagiac, his sister Sandra Cantrell-Moore of Dowagiac, his spouse Tracy Carrington-Cantrell of Dowagiac, children Blaine Cantrell of Edwardsburg, and Hadashah Cantrell of Dowagiac, nephews Joshua Kiggins and Justin Moore, and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Jerry passed away at his home on Saturday April 20, 2013 at his home. His family will gather with friends on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where his funeral service will be held on Friday at 11a.m. led by Pastor John Saylor of the Keeler Church of God. He will be laid to rest in Mission Hills Cemetery, Niles following the service. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to Cass County Cancer Services.
