Alice M. Kuball

Alice Lehman Kuball, 83, of St. Joseph, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2005, at South Bend Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2005, 11:30 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church, 3590 Lincoln Ave, St. Joseph, MI, with Rev. Paul A. Koehneke and Rev. Franz Brandenburg officiating. Visitation, at the church, will precede the service from 10:30-11:30a.m. A private burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church. Alice was born January 9, 1922, in St. Joseph, MI, to Robert and Alma (Schmidtke) Lehman. On August 3, 1943, in St. Joseph, MI, she married Walter William Kuball. He preceded her in death in 1959. Alice attended Alma-Mt. Pleasant Practical Nursing School, in Alma, MI, graduating in 1965. She retired from Memorial Hospital after 30 years of service. Alice is survived by her two children, Barbara (Gary) Walker of Benton Harbor, and Dr. Walter Richard ?Ted? (Laura) Kuball of St. Joseph; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Netedu Kuball of Santa Barbara, CA, Katharine (Ben) Wagner and Cara Stephanie Kuball both of Chicago, IL, and Crystal (Joe) Bernard of Lawton, MI; one great grandchild, John Michael Bernard of Lawton, MI; and her best friend for many years, Barbara Baldwin. She is preceded in death by her parents-Robert and Alma, her husband-Walter, brother-Clarence Luton, and two sisters-Evelyn Hart and Eleanor Kinsting.
