Beatrice's Obituary
Beatrice’s life began on February 17, 1928 in Steele, MO, the daughter of Lee and Ernestine (Rowell) Hibler and step-mother of Ida Hibler. She attended Sumner High School in Caro, IL. She was united in marriage to Lee Thomas Jackson who preceded her in death in 2001. She was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church and a member of the nurse’s guild. Whenever she could, Bea loved to travel. Her loving family includes her daughter Mary (James) Crawley of Dowagiac, grandson James Crawley of Dowagiac, sister Barbara Shivers of Dowagiac, nephews Robert and Darryl Shivers, sister in law Shirley Teachy and a host of great nieces, nephews and cousins. Bea passed away on Monday April 8th at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. She is preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, grandson Steven Crawley, sister Dorothy Thompson, brother Lee Hibler ,Jr, brother in law Robert “Shag” Shivers, and niece Deloris Halliburton. Her family will gather with friends on Monday from11-12 at Second Baptist Church where her Home Going will be held at 12 noon led by Pastor Eugene Staples. She will be laid to rest in Mission Hills Cemetery, Niles. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Mary Crawley.
